Our Walks on Sunday 29th September Aim to Avoid the Cycling Crowds

Sunday 29th September will see the Elite Men's Road Race following the route of the Tour de France Grand Depart - which means the roads of Wensleydale and Swaledale are going to be "difficult" shall we say.

This should not put all you keen walkers off a great day in our area. And you will be back in time to catch the race highlights on the telly.

We have designed our walks programme for the day to be in the north of the area.  The first leg of our High Fells Challenge will take us into the Eden Valley and Mallerstang, with an ascent of Wild Boar Fell. We also have walks planned from Bowes, following parts of the Pennine Way in that area, and an opportunity to visit High Force and Low Force Waterfalls on the River Tees in a walk starting at Bowlees.
